What are the allowable special characters for root and admin passwords in SCG 5.10?
We got burned after upgrading from SRS to SCG 5.00.07 because we couldn't perform the initial login from root due to invalid special characters in the password. I'm hoping SCG 5.10 was updated to support the same special characters as SRS.

Hello sal.paradise,
I have attached an image that shows allowed characters for the Virtual Edition.

Ah, that is an expanded list of acceptable characters compared to the 5.0.7 version... This is what I was hoping for so thank you very much!

Hello sal.paradise,
Chris posted supported special characters here and I do not think there have been any changes.

Yes, I'm aware of that list. Are you certain there haven't been any changes in 5.10? If so, I'm really surprised that SCG would continue to retain the more restricted set of allowable special characters than are supported by SRS because I imagine a lot of people were unable to upgrade to 5.0.7 because of this.

Hello sal.paradise,
I really do not think anything has changed in the password credentials but I can do some more checking.
What version do you have?
SCG 5.10.00.xy — Virtual Edition
or
SCG 5.10.00.xy — Application Edition
