Upgrading SCG 5.00.00.11 to SCG 5.10.00.00 Application edition failure.
Hi team.
I keep on getting the red error banner when trying to do the update from the web console:
"Update failed. Something went wrong while upgrading this gateway to latest version. Please try again later."
Can I download the 5.10 exe and run the installer to update the gateway or do I have to use the "Update" option from within the web portal ?

I had the same problem. I tried to upgrade two SCG's from 5.00.07.10 to 5.10.00.10 but obtained the same error:
Update failed. Something went wrong while upgrading this gateway to latest version. Please try again later.
In my scenario failure was due to active "Remote" and "File Transfers" sessions. Once active session(s) completed or were stopped upgrade completed successfully.

Hello e4et,
Did you register your 5.00.00.11 installation?
Registration is mandatory when upgrading before you can proceed to the latest version of Secure Connect Gateway.
You should be able to run the latest exe locally to upgrade:

Secure Connect Gateway Application Edition 5.10.00.00 for Windows
Full Release : 09 Mar 2022
Version : 5.10
File Name : Secureconnectgateway_5.10.00.00-813.exe

Hi Charles.
Thank you for confirming that I can execute the latest exe. I will take a snapshot of the VM before doing this.
I believe we did register yes, I know we logged into the portal and generated a installation ID and a pin which was used when upgrading from SAE to SCG.

Hi Joey.
I actually saw this in one of the other posts as well, but didnt think it would work for me since I\'using the application installed on a Server 2019 box.
Let me spend some time on google to see how to execute that sh from windows.
Will revert if it works.

Hi team.
Just some closure.
We ended up uninstalling and installing 5.10. We could not see why exactly the update kept on failing.
Initially it looked like the downloads just didnt come down properly. We then deleted the downloads folder and was able to get a complete download but that didnt help.
We also tried executing the update manually from the downloads location but still no joy.
The engineer did he's best for us to try and do the in place upgrade but it kept on failing.
Luckily I only had 20 devices configured so was up and running again quickly.
Thank for all the assistance.
