Unable to add Isilon nodes in SCG VE

 Hi,

I can't add Isilon nodes on SCG VE (5.10.00.00). From Device discovery rule, I've defined a credential profile (account Isilon root) and Isilon IP range. I get this error: Failed to add device x.x.x.x
We could not complete the task because the credentials for this asset are missing or incorrect

Any idea?

This would normally be an issue I would suggest you call in to discuss witht he SGC Virtual team, but I have a post here that I believe is similar that has some verified steps to try. 

 

Let me know what you find.

Hello Zenworks,

I had the same issue on my side with my isilon and solved with that.

The simplest way and most likely solution would be to run the following commands to disable the configuration and follow that with a new registration, to generate a new device key for the Isilon. The " --force" flag instructs Isilon to disable Secure Remote Services without trying to contact the gateway to deregister first.
 
  1. Check the configuration of your Gateway into the isilon web page config
  2. Connect SSH to your isilon
  3. isi esrs modify --enabled=false --force
  4. isi esrs modify --enabled=true --username=DellSupportEmail --password=MYPASS

That should solve your issue, the isilon will automatically connect in your Secure gateway.
