SupportAssist Enterprise is unable to add the device

with Error Code : SA-0140.

I use SupportAssist Enterprise Version: 1.2.1.20 to discover an IDRAC9 on a PowerEdge R740xd with firmware version 3.21.21.21 .

The device is in the staging group now with status Unable to add device : SupportAssist Enterprise is unable to add the device xxxxxxxxx because a connection to the device was unsuccessful.

What does the error code mean?

found the solution myself:In the Proxy Exclusion List box, type the IP address ranges or host name expressions of devices to which the Remote Collector must communicate directly and not through the proxy server. IP address of devices that communicate through https protocol must be included in the proxy exclusion list. Separator is semicolon.

I had this same issue... I had to go to the OpenManage Essentials site (mine runs on port 2607) via the web.  From there, I was able to go to the manage tab, then delete the server within... go back to the SupportAssist Enterprise manager and run a sync on your extension... that should remove your server from the list
