Several large (2gb +) log files are being created every day in C:/ProgramData/Dell/SARemediation/log/instantrestore called e.g. instantrestore.dll.123456789012345678_0.log. The only way to reclaim the space is to manually delete them every few days (except the ones dated that day. Why is this happening & is there a way to stop it please? Thanks.

Hello,
Just for your information.
I had the same problem. I don't know the reason why the large size files are created, however, after stop the following two services, file creations are stopped.

I have the same problem. I don't have anymore space disk due to these files. I have around 70 log files and it weighs 135gb.
I do not know if it is linked but I have got more and more problems with my laptop (BSOD, can't turn on my computer after sleep mode, ect.).
How can we fixe this problem ? Is there other solution other than delete manually the files?
Thank you.

Hi,
It's a new feature (OS Recovery) from SupportAssist application. That feature runs a system snapshot in a daily schedule. You can configure this feature for ocuppying lees space in your HD, between 12 and 18GB of occupied space, or, if you prefer, disable this feature completely.
Look for SupportAssist in your windows init. Once in the app, go to the Config menu, in the Gear upright, select System Repair, and configure it at your own:
Hope this can help!

Thank you! seriously! I've been hunted by this feature for a long time! and I thought it was hibernate mode from Windows that kept activating. I had like 140gb stored. It's currently happening because my battery is dead, I need a new one but i haven't got the money to get one. I guess I'll have to delete these for a while. And I'll keep at least one restore and at minimum
