SCG Update failed to 5.00.07.10
Hi,
I receive message "Update failed. Something went wrong while upgrading this gateway to latest version. Please try again later." when i try to update to the latest SCG.
Anyone who has the same problem? I'm running Gateway version 5.00.05.1 (Virtual Edition)

Hello,
we need to analyze the system, probably to clear MFT session. I suggest you to contact our technical support for SCG, they can do it by a remote session.
Thanks

Hi All,
There is a KB Article 000195104 that should resolve this issue. You may need to run it once before and once after the upgrade.
https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000195104/secure-connect-gateway-update-failed-something-went-wrong-while-upgrading-this-gateway-to-latest-version-due-to-esrshttpdr-not-running-or-stale-mft-sessions?lang=en
Hope that helps

I need help.
i have deployed SCG 5.0.7.10 and one service has refused to start "inventory" this stops me from adding my devices to the portal.
i have tried to identify this service via Yast console to start it and keep it enabled but it didnt work.
is there a better way to get it done?

Hi dharmie,
When you log into SCG via the Web UI, in the bottom right corner there should be a 'Service Status' area with a 'number' Total of running services. It should be 29 and they should all be running. There is also be a stopped services number as well, if you hover over the number it should give you the name of the service that is having issues.
Have a read through the Secure_Connect_Gateway_5.00.00.xy_Virtual_Edition_Troubleshooting_Guide document - See Section 17, p29 - Secure Connect Gateway services stopped running.
If that doesn't work in getting the services running, you may need to raise a support case.
Chris.

I was able to get the update to work by logging on to the vm via ssh and then running zypper update. It took a while, but appears to have worked. Now, if I could get groups to work...
