SAE v2 not installing in linux

Tried installing SAE v2 in linux and server ran out of disk space in /tmp.

Then tried installing again after getting more disk space.

Now it says 'Dell EMC SupportAssist Enterprise is already installed on this system'.

I have removed any obvious files/dirs that may be dell / sae /supportassist related.

What do I have to do to get SAE installed and/or removed ?

Thanks!

Hello @JayDee23,

The biggest issue is that you need to follow the instructions mentioned on Page 167 of the user guide (below) to do Uninstallation of SAE 2.x Linux
https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/supportassist-enterprise-v20_users-guide2_en-us.pdf

It is not advised to delete files manually to uninstall SAE.
SAE should be in corrupt state now, as SAE related files have been manually deleted/removed.

Please follow below steps and update us.

  • Log into SAE Linux server using Putty
  • Does below folder structure exists in customer environment?
    /opt/dell/supportassist/bin
  • Run below command and share the putty screenshot
    rpm -qa | grep supportassist

Best regards.
