sa-ent 4.0.5: requires a reboot every 8-12 days to clear DNS issue?

SupportAssist Enterprise 4.00.05.30

It seems every 8-12 days the system gets into a state where it does not pass the "Internet connection" network connection test. The details for the test show "Operation failed due to internal server error."

A reboot clears the error as all the tests then pass.

Connecting via ssh to a root shell shows DNS is fine at that level.  The Application logs just indicate a failure below. Is there a way to get the specific details?

ERROR com.dell.supportassist.common.gateway.RESTGatewayApiImpl- 81 - Exception caught while connecting to Rest API:
com.dell.supportassist.common.eAPI.EAPIServiceException: NETWORK_CONNECTIVITY_TEST

Same here!

But i am not sure, if it's an DNS issue or a general problem of the appliance. I hope a patch will arrive soon.

I'm getting the same error, but I'm curious as to what command you used to test from SSH?

We appear to be experiencing the same issue. Appliance reporting issues with connectivity/smtp server config but after reboot are fine.

We also are seeing this issue.  A reboot of the system does make it work again.  Would love a patch for sure

I noticed the same issue today. Have not visited SAE for while and was surprised to see all tests failing after logging in today. A reboot solved the issue.

I have same problem, probably software bug. VA can running without any issue about 14 days.

We moved from the sa-ent 4.0.5 appliance to 2.0.70 install on a VM to correct this issue.  At the time Dell support recommended it to us as we were not monitoring and storage gear with SAE.
