Resetting Server to shipping conditions
Hello!
I'm a Pharmacist from Austria and I'm responsible for the IT in our Business.
I'm not a trained IT person, but so far I was able to manage our old Dell Server for some years now.
I ran into problems after updating firmware and Bios of some new Hardware we purchased (Poweredge T640), which was supposed to replace our old Dell Hardware.
Because of this I had to factory-reset the whole system.
I thought this wouldn't be an Issue because I didn't migrate anything from our old system yet.
The Bios-issue is now resolved, but unfortunately I don't have the knowledge to fully restore all features, software and drivers (eg. vmSphere Essentials Software) of the new hardware.
I managed to install SupportAssist, but working with it is way over my head.
Please help!

Hi,
Treiber & Downloads (hast du evtl schon selber gefunden)
Stefan

Hi GP1982,
seems that you need a lot of assistance there.
Well regarding the OS installation and other Software I'm not the right person, but regarding SupportAssist (in short: SA) we may come together :-)
But first of all one question, what do you expect from SupportAssist, have you already heard about it, what it is and what it does?
If your answer is no, you may, first of all, check out our webinars about SupportAssist.
English: https://www.dell.com/community/Online-Events-Forum/SupportAssist-Enterprise-Live-Webinar/m-p/6219589#M2
German: dell.de/dsw (You also find the recording of the latest webinar there)
With our webinar series, we want to assist with the usage of SupportAssist.
Another question here, how many systems are you going to monitor? Maybe it's not necessary to use SA.
Let me know about your plans.
Best regards,
Stefan
