Devices Imported from OME Will Not Validate

I was able to create the adapter and connect to OpenManage Enterprise and can see all of the devices, but they all show a status of failed.  All of the devices are connected on OMEnt as iDrac, and in SAE they show as iDrac, but the names are the DNS names of the actual server.  Not real certain how to figure this one out.  Is the integration between the two Enterprise versions the same as the old versions or am I expecting something that I shouldn't be?  Ideas on how to get SAE to correctly use the information from the OMEnt adapter?

For us, the fix was to change the following setting in OME:

  • Application Settings
    • Console Preferences
      • Discovery Setting
        • Server Device Naming

Change from "System Hostname" to "iDRAC Hostname" and apply.

Then in SupportAssist, select the OME Adapter and perform a manual Sync.  Once completed it correctly validated all systems with the iDRAC profile.
