Device groups issue
Hi
i have created a number of device groups to represent different site location's. i then moved the servers at each location in to their group. all good.
however with in 24 hours i have found nearly all devices move out of the site group back in to the default group. i move them back and then they move again. there is no pattern and not all the servers move.
has anyone one else seen this issue/feature
thanks

Hi,
haven't seen this before. Is there a reoccurring discovery rule running?
This is the only idea I have on this behavior.
Regards
Stefan

HI Stefan
we do have an adaptor set up to check the DOM appliance for new devices. i have adjusted the frequency of the checks but it makes no difference. having said that the adaptor never brings back the right amount of servers.
thanks

Happening here too. I stopped using Groups due to this problem, even when I just use the Default Group. I lost over 1300 servers a couple nights back. I have tired a manual sync and it still does not help. I can get about 96 Devices to Sync, but OME Connector never adds anymore. I can add a single Device (Edit) with the same creds the OME Connector is using and that is working.
Butttt.... what I found is new working item:
-Go to the Devices screen
-Click the checkbox at the top to select all 10 Devices at once
-Click on the dropdown to select and assign a Credential Profile (if you have one setup)
-Prompt appears that this operation will happen in the background
-Click OK
And this now has started working for the fist time for me with the latest revision that went out a week or two ago. But when you can only do 10 at a time and you have 1382 to work through it is a PITA.
So, I will be ripping out the OME Connector again and re-installing it thru a specific process.
Special Note:
If you have "Discovered" all of your Devices in OME with the same user/password that you have setup in the OME Connector, this will help for the next time you have to go thru this.
