Hello jajardinero,
Have you configured the SMTP server settings?
If your company uses an SMTP server, it is recommended that you configure the SMTP server settings to receive email notifications from secure connect gateway.

Hello good afternoon.
I have tried to configure the SMTP service but, whenever I try to configure it, it sends me the following:
We encountered a problem validating your SMTP configuration. Please try again later and if the problem persists, contact technical support.
Do you know why it is?
Greetings.

Hi @Alex06.,
I'm unsure if it's compatibility issue, but I'll try to get help from the SCG support, but might need some details. Would you mind letting me know via PM, the server service tag that the SCG is installed, the SCG SWID, version of SCG.
Was this working before? Is this your first time using SCG? Do you have SAE installed? Are you using the Application or Virtual version of SCG?
Just to verify, you were following the steps on Page 55: https://dell.to/3CMpmsw and you had that error?

Hi,
The answer underlined in bold

Currently it is placed to monitor 1 server R540 and two SW SS4112F-ON, I provide you
Version: Secure Connect Gateway 5.00.00.xy - Virtual Edition
Was this working before? New to SCG? Do you have SAE installed? Are you using the application or the virtual version of SCG?
Since it was implemented it has not worked, it is the first time I use it, it does not have SAE installed, it has the virtual version of SCG
Just to check, you were following the steps on page 55: https://dell.to/3CMpmsw and you had that error?
It is correct if these steps are followed, as additional information, we have configured the SMTP in the Secure Remote Services solution (formerly ESRS) and it works correctly.

Alex06,
My advice would be to not configure it at all, by default, SCG is going to use our mail servers to email you, you would configure SMTP if you want your mail server to send it out.
In my opinion it almost certainly is not validated for Office365 since it is going to send the email as a https://dell.to/3GSjUXn address of some kind.
I mean, I can send it up as a request but it absolutely is not necessary since not configuring the SMTP server you'll still get emails when it makes a case.
Let me know if this helps.
