Bug - HTTPS hostname wrong - Cannot configure SNMP traps
Hello,
Since latest idrac firmware update, I got an error on supportassist complaining about not being able to configure snmp traps.
After a little digging, I found that latest idrac reset ssl cert to dumb CN name : Common Name (CN) : idrac-SVCTAG
For anyone looking in this issue, you have to ssh into the idrac, run "racadm sslresetcfg", verify that new cert is good CN with "racadm sslcertview -t 1" and then reset idrac with "racadm racreset"
Then, in supportassist, run again the "configure snmp" and problem solved in the web interface BUT in the logs, something is still wrong :
19 Jul 2019 09:09:59,471 [SAE-SAE-EVENT-BUS-Queue-Processor-6] ERROR com.dell.supportassist.common.snmp.executor.IDRACTestTrapExecutor- 97 - Problem while sending Test Trap command request, Exception caused due to [HTTPS hostname wrong: should be <192.168.49.27>]
In supportassist, the idracs are registered using fqdn, and sslcert CN contains fqdn. I don't understand why supportassist tries to match CN with the idrac IP address and not fqdn.
But anyway, the web interface show now OK for the iDRAC after reseting the ssl cert.
SO this may help some people here.
Edit : after 5 minuts, status on support assist is back to error for snmp traps. **bleep**

Hi tamere22,
sorry to see that it was not a long time solution
So, right now I still have to say, downgrade iDRACs firmware to solve the issue until we have the SupportAssist update released.
I still have no ETA right now.
Cheers
Stefan
