After SCG VE Upgrade from 5.12.00.00 to 5.14.00.10 SAE container is missing
Hello.
We upgraded 5.12.00.00 to 5.14.00.10, and it seems successful as there were no errors during update, and it was kind of one click upgrade.
But after that we found that SAE container is missing.
When status of SAE Container Service is checked:
Failed to start SAE Container Service.
sae.docker.service: Unit entered failed state.
sae.docker.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
This is very strange, and there seems no solution , except rebuild the SCG VE afresh.
Anyone has seen such issue, and know the solution.
Thanks

Hello, thanks for choosing Dell. I will try to take this to the expert with your service tag information. Could you DM me please? Wish you a good one.

Hello, thanks but I don't believe this is what we looking for. Do you think you can take a picture of the white sticker with the information? That way we can tell.

Hello,
same issue here. We also had to restore a snapshot.
Do you already find some solution?
Seems to be similar to SCG5 VE Upgrade from 5.12.00.10 to 5.14.00.10 fails consistently - Dell Community

Hi @Alan.C,
Just to check, when you upgraded from 5.12 to 5.14, was there any issues using SCG 5.14? What prompted you to go into the logs to check the above error about missing container?

Yes, exactly the same issue which you described in that link. We actually had to re-deploy it as our snapshot was for 5.12, and we want to have latest 5.14.
At times these guys from EMC responding here don't do anything good. Like, the one asking - was there any issues using SCG 5.14. Ofcourse, when there is an issue then only we come here asking for answers. In my case, also host was not responding to 5700. Can't open that page at all. Then I started checking via cli and found that SAE docker service was in failed state. And, then tried starting the service, and rebooted to check again. And, then this query was opened.
Thanks
Thanks

Hi Evar.
Exactly my question. How to take a picture of a service tag from a virutal machine. Weird.
Complete waste of time, after first showing a ray of hope.
