Introductory SAP Resource Thread
Greetings,
One thing I've always found in technology forums is that sometimes there's an assumption that everyone already has a rudimentary knowledge of the topic. That's not necessarily a problem but on occasion it's really helpful to have some resources for those folks who're new to a particular technology. The purpose of this thread is to provide some resources that help bring one's knowledge from beginner to intermediate.
The first one I'd like to present is What is SAP: http://www.erptips.com/Learn-SAP/What-Is-SAP/
This short tutorial has three modules that explain what SAP is and describe the offerings available. Since SAP provides such a broad range of products this site is handy in summarizing the vast amount of information around the applications.

Hi Rob - Great Post! You are right on! SAP has a massive portfolio and with the focus on Mobile and In-Memory Computing it will continue to expand.
I would also like to recommend a book "Discover SAP" from SAP Press. It's a great resource to get the basics as well terminology around SAP products. It also explains really well SAP's vision.
Here's the link for the book.

I am sure we will be seeing more material about HANA as well; so watch out for more!
