Create SAP EarlyWatch Alert Report, Display Details, Send E-mail

Good morning continuity

One of the documents that the SDC recommends for our SAP sizing is a Early watch report. I did a search on the Internet to find out how to collect this report to provide you assistance if you need it. Below is what I found. Please check it out and let me know if it is of help or do you have any other advice for the community in how to collect this report.

Use

The SAP EarlyWatch Report gives you detailed information about system status, performance, configuration, system operation, database administration and trends.

Prerequisites

You have:

• processed the session
• installed the Internet Graphics Server (IGS) to create an HTML report with graphics.
• setup automatic E-Mail sending, if necessary.

Procedure

Create SAP EarlyWatch report

• Start the transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER.
• 2. Choose Solution Monitoring EarlyWatch Alert in the Operations screen.

You go to the overview of all SAP EarlyWatch Alert services.

You can generate an SAP EarlyWatch Alert report as:

...

• HTML document
• Choose a link to a service.
• Choose a report type.

You can send the HTML report as an E-mail, to yourself and any number of other recipients (Add Recipient… pushbutton).

You can only enter one recipient per row.

• MS Word document
• ...
• Choose the Create Word Report symbol.
• Choose a report type.

When you have generated the report, it appears as an attachment.

You can send the document as an E-mail from MS Word.

• Choose the Central Session Management program under Goto ®

Display session details

• Start the transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER.
• 2. Choose Solution Monitoring EarlyWatch Alert in the Operations screen.

You go to the overview of all SAP EarlyWatch Alert services.

• Choose Display Session.
• Confirm the information dialog box.

You go to Display Mode: EarlyWatch Alert.

You can display all data, hierarchically, without analysis, in the EWA Viewer. 

• You can create the reports with HTML or MS Word Document.

1. To save an HTML document locally, choose Goto ® HTML Document ® Save.

Result

You can now see the report created, and respond to its recommendations.
