RM 5.4 help

Background:

We have setup 2 Replication Manager Servers, one at the production site and one at a DR site.  And 2 vnxe 3100 SAN, again one at primary and one at DR site.  Using iSCSI connections to the SAN (no NFS or CIFS)

The primary RM server is using the RM proxy agent to connect with vCenter to obtain (what I think are the LUNS) so that I can choose what to replicate to the DR SAN.  A test replication works fine, so at least the setup is working.

Question:

IF the production site goes down, will the Secondary RM Server require access to a 2nd vCenter in order to make the LUNS read/write and also make them mountable by an ESXi host?  At this juncture, if needed I plan on using just the ESXi hypervisor to add those VMs to inventory once the datastores cans be seen.  I wasn't planning on using vCenter unless absolutely required.  If a disaster occurs, I am not so worried at this point on replicating the data back just yet.
