Need to Migrate RM 5 server to new host

Can anyone tell me how to go about moving my RM server? I also would like to know what the DR process would be on the RM server itself like which files I would need etc.

RM 5.0.2
Windows 2003 SP2 with all required patches
CX700

Sorry for delayed reply.

Do you mean having to move the RM server software to a new Server?

Also, have you hear of the RM DR Server functionality? Where you can now have a standby RM server? We use a function of the RM Database to asyncronisly copy the RM server database to another secondary RM server host.

This host can then be promoted to primary in the event of a primary RM server failure. Its pretty cool.

But for now, if you take a copy (use xcopy with open files option) of the Program files\emc\rm\serverdb directory it would be good enough. In the event of a failure, you can push this back in and restart RM Server.

Thanks James. This will do nicely for now but I will look into the DR functionality. This would be a great option to get a failover at our DR site.
