DNS Settings / Documentation

I need to change the DNS settings on our Recoverpoint Gen4 hosts. 

So. I thought I would download support docs - they do not seem to be on powerlink and I can't find them on support.emc.com

Where can I get the support manuals?

How do I change DNS settings?

Is it as simple as making a putty session and changing resolv.conf ?

I don't seem to be able to log in as root. 

When I try boxmgmt - I get a menu but I can't see DNS in the list.
