Bandwidth throttling with Replistor
Hello all
My company has recently purchased 150 Replistor licenses which we intend to use to replicate our remotes sites (on 2MB WAN links) to a DataCentre with the ultimate goal being to remove on site tape backup.
Our WAN links are fairly heavily used during the day between AM to PM upto 75% utilization but during the night drop to a trickle <5%.
I'd like to set specifications which take advantage of low bandwitdth usage during the night but at the same time throttle back Replistor traffic during the day.
I've noticed a setting within Replistor that allows bandwidth throttling however my understanding is that this isn't flexible enough set the time restrictions from when it should go full pelt and when it should throttle back bandwidth.
Has anybody come across a similar requirement and are there any pointers? I've noticed a rep_srv cmd throttle which I think will do the job however I'm guessing I will have to do two specifications per folder I wish to replicate. Which is something I'd like to avoid.. I'm looking at 3 to 5 parent folders per server. So approx 800 to 1500 specifications
Thanks in advance
Kully

Maintnenance -> Schedule Options -> Throttling tab -> Uncheck 'Disable Schedule'.
This will allow you to Throttle the connection. For example, if you want to throttle from 9am-5pm, your Start time = 9am, Duration = 8 Hours, Repeat = Days.
This is completed for the entire site and applies to all Spec's to that site.
If this was too obvious and did not answer your question, perhaps I did not understand it.
