vRPA OVA Installation
When installing the vRPA's from the OVA file I have a strange issue. After the first on is installed and a temp IP is setup during the OVA install I can ping that IP address, but when I install the 2nd vRPA from the OVA file and give it an IP address (different then the 1st one) the first vRPA stops responding to pings. And vice versa shut one down one pings, but if bring the other one up it stops responding. Very strange like they know about each other or something bizarre.
Also, although it's called a Temporary IP address that can be the LAN (mgmt) IP address that gets set permanently with Deployment Manager, correct?
Thanks,

The second part is yes. The issue I had was that whatever IP i gave the OVA didnt stick, i logged into the RPA via vcenter console with the boxmgmt user, after which it asks if you want to assign a temp IP. I did it there and it worked fine

I've not seen that before but two things to check that could cause that behavior:
1. Check your vSwitch or DVS to make sure you have not exhausted all available virtual ports. If needed, add ports.
2. Check to see if the MAC addresses are the same for both appliances. That should not be possible, but it could cause the symptoms you described.
