Upgrade from RecoverPoint/SE to RecoverPoint/EX
Will removing SE licenses and adding EX licenses affected existing Consistency Groups?
Upgrading from RecoverPoint/SE to RecoverPoint/EX. Steps followed:
1) Performed upgrade from 3.5 to 4.0.2 SP2 on both RP clusters
2) Performed DM Wizard to migrate from SE to EX on both local and remote RP Clusters.
3) Both clusters are currently on temp SE licenses as a result of the upgrade process.
4) I have acquired EX license, but GUI will not allow me to install the EX licenses without remove the SE licenses first.
So, will removing the SE licenses long enough to install the EX licenses preserve the CGs? Will a full re-sync be required? Will I have to tear down and rebuild the CGs?

There is no impact to replication or the CGs. When you remove the temp SE licensing there will be no licensing in place, therefore you wil not be able to make any changes to the configuration. As soon as you add the EX licensing the configurarion can be changed as normal. That's it.

Thanks Rich
But we got to know once we convert our RP SE to RP EX license, later we can't convert back our RP EX to RP SE.
Is it true?
What is the alternative then to convert back from EX to SE?

If the arrays stay the same you can attempt the conversion back to SE. It is not necessarily a 100% guaranteed conversion, so ensure you have a contingency plan with configuration information available/exported prior to the activity just in case.
