SRM and Recover Point 4.1
Hello Experts,
I am very new with EMC, and I was wondering if you could help me since:
My client right now is working with VNX5800 and have installed RecoverPoint 4.1, Physical RPAs, they are planning to install a VMware Center using SRM 5.5. They previously, as a test, put into replication 2 data store lunsm but as a regular replication, not using SRM. So is it need to ask to stop replicating those luns manually in anticipation for SRM to take care of those Replication process?

Hello there,
There's no need to disable CGs which aren't controlled by SRM. SRM external management can be non-disruptively enabled and disabled by editing the CG group policy.
Hope that helps,

Thank you very much!!!, so if I add the luns to the the CG, no disruption will happen?
Again thanks for helping me on this...

Correct, it's not disruptive.

Currently if you add replication sets to an existing CG, volume sweep (replicating only the different data b/w the production and the replica volumes across the wire. same as full sweep but just for specific volumes) will occur on the newly added volumes and journal history loss will occur as well.
