RPA drive failure
Why, when previously all I had to do was swap out the failed hard drive, do I now have to replace an entire RPA if a drive fails?

Do you have a mix of rpa's? Gen4 (dell) only supports rpa replacement as a single FRU. Gen5 (intel) supports a HDD replacement ad opposed to the entire appliance.

Odd...not sure of the past support call but the gen4 Dell's are only replaced as a single FRU for any component failure. It is a warranty policy that EMC enforces.
