RP4VMs 5.3 Configure Plugin Server

When attempting to configure the plugin server on the deployer, I get the following error:

Configure plugin server failed.
could not get vm uuid for rpa -1

does anyone know of a solution for this issue?

Hi,

What version of vcenter are you using?  Which version of ESX?

Hi @HFL24,

We've fixed a similar issue in the RP4VMs 5.3.1.1 (5.3 SP1 P1). Let me know if you're hitting this issue on 5.3.1.1.

I Have recently had this same error on 2 identical VxRAIL system using RP4VMs 5.3.1.1 (5.3 SP1 P1). I removed the vRPA's and re-provisioned since there were only 2 in the cluster.

On VXR 1 this then worked as expected, however the issue repeated on VXR 2. Deleting and re-provisioning the just the plugin server did not do the trick either, had to be full RP cluster....

Frustrating, but resetting was quicker than support cases due to project timelines

This shouldn't be related to vRPA cluster reinstall, probably related to either certificate or time drift of the plugin server/vCenter and the vRPAs.

Hope that helps,

Idan

Hi,

Thanks for your question about RP4vm 5.3.2 giving the error. Try the steps here https://dell.to/3Px6Om5 and https://dell.to/3uKvu2w
