RP4VM Failover Script Variables

I have a need to create a custom script for pre-poweron and I need to pass the VM Name, VM IP, and VM PortGroup to the script but frankly I don't see any documentation on the use of custom scripts.  Anyone have any details on the use of custom scripts?  Variables, script formatting, etc...
