Just the RPA not the cluster ?
If so, login as boxmgmt and detach the rpa from the cluster, reboot it and go into the RAID config and reset it.
You'll then need to re-install from the DVD..

hi ,
My question is:
actualy i have recoverpoint in the CX and we will migrate our storage to the VNX .
for that i want to start the cluster like a new installation but the repository will be chosed from the VNX.
This is why , i would start my RP environment again from scratch and will chose my repository volume from the VNX .
best regards

Hi, for each RPA you want to reset, yes.
If you want to reset a cluster, you could break replication, then run the clear_settings command and then delete the Repository volume. (for each cluster)
Maybe we can take a step back, and find out what your goal is ? Do you want to start your RP environment again from scratch or just remove RPA's from the config , or ??

OK
Just stop replication, remove all your Consistency Groups and detach the RPA's. Then remove the Repository Volume.
Do this at each cluster site.
Rezone as necessary for your new VNX array, then just do a new install with Deployment Manager changing any configuration as required.

hi ,
Thank you for your response.
I need details on the two following issues (point 3 and 4 ).
1-stop replication,
2-remove all Consistency Groups
3- detach the RPA's (you mean break the cluster using the boxmgmt account ) and detach RPA2 from RPA1
4- Remove the repository (using the GUI ??? )
5-Rezone as necessary for your new VNX array, then just do a new install with Deployment Manager changing any configuration as required.
thank you in advance
best regards

Hi,
If you need to redeploy, as mentioned above, you can detach all RPAs and rerun the installation process using Deployment Manager (you will be able to select a different repository volume as part of that).
If you are considering to perform that entire process in order to change the repository volume (for array replacement, etc.), then you should know that there is a non-disruptive Repository Migration Procedure. I would recommend that you contact your account team if you need to use this procedure.

Yes, detach both RPA's using the boxmgmt acct and delete the Repository Volume from the Unisphere GUI.
Probably a bit of overkill with the improved task functionality in Deployment Manager, but I like to 'deconstruct' before redeploying existing hardware.

You're welcome
The splitter enabler is included in the RecoverPoint SE Installation Kit which you can download from here
Unpack and install through USM. Make sure you read all the relevant notes. SP reboots are required for the install, but are managed by USM.
Full install procedure available through the mydocs site, but if you need more info post back.
