Can a Journal volume be created from a disk pool, or should you use a raid group to create a journal volumes?

Replication volumes can come from a disk pool, but can you use thin provisioning on production and replication volumes?

I recommend you stay with a RAID Group. If you do decide to go with pools make sure you dedicate that pool for Journal LUNs since Journal LUNs are large block write IO (~600K).

RecoverPoint supports thin LUNs; so yes, you can use thin LUNs. I highly recommend you read the latest RecoverPoint Release Notes. Here's the direct link:
