recoverpoint with XIO JVOL sizing
Hi,
I need to setup CDP replication between 2 XIO arrays using RP. I would like to use the automatic journal provisioning feature in 5.1 As far as I know RP will create 2 GB JVOL by default. with the snapshot based replication, can I say that 2GB is more than sufficient since the limitation is purely based on the maximum number of snapshot that XIO can create per volume.

Hi there,
RP 5.1 will indeed provision a 2GB journal for any production/replica XtremIO-based copy. Note that if provisioning manually, 10GB would be required.
There's no need to provision more than that since the journals in case of XtremIO isn't used to store any Points-in-time as XtremIO snaps are used to store writes during image access as well as actual PiTs (each XtremIO snapshot is a PiT).
