RecoverPoint VNX LUN state

What should the LUN state be on the destination VNX array.  It is showing Ready.  Should't it be write disabled like on the VMAX?

In Unisphere? That's normal.

RP will be holding a SCSi reservation on it, so even if presented to the hosts (by being in applicable Storage Group) the data won't be properly accessible/mountable until one of the image access methods is enabled.

What indicates that it is in a read-only state on the target side?

Up until at least v4.0, the GUI will show the Replica in the CG as "Storage: No Access". This can also be seen by running get_group_state form the RP cli or admin ssh session. This read/write state is controlled by the splitter/RP.

I haven't verified if this is the same in 4.1, but expect if anything it will be much the same.

Unisphere however, will not show the read/write or access/noaccess state.

Hi Deb,

From an RP perspective is it No Access if part of a CG and attached to a splitter. From an array perspctive it is readable.
