Recoverpoint rebuild to 4.0

We have 4 recoverpoint appliances that were running version 3.5 SP1. Due to other factors beyond our control we had to rebuild them vs upgrading them. We are trying to install 4.0. Using the RecoverPoint Installer Wizard we get to step 8. EMC Online Support Site Credentials. This is a new step in Recover Point deployment that has not been required previously.

It askes for EMC Online Support Credentials, when I put in my creds it tells me that it failed to download installation change management xml file. If I open an IE browser and browse to support.emc.com, I can open the site and log right in with my creds.

Any ideas? I have opened an SR, but they havent called back yet.

See screenshot below. You have to open an SR with EMC support. This is from the RecoverPoint/SE Upgrade Guide

Hello,

We have exactly the same problème here (migration RPA/se to 3.5-> 4.0SP1).

It seems we cannot set somewhere our proxy server in their tool.

Are you also behind a proxy ?

I asked EMC for the offline xml files... waiting...

Thank you for the reply. I did receive the exact same answer from support when they finally got back to me. However, they did say it may take up to 3 business days not 1.

Ask them to escalate the case and show them the screenshot. Make sure you tell them that this is urgent and I'm sure they'll be able to get the xml file to you within a day

I have escalated to my Account manager and the Recoverpoint Management but still 2 days have passed and they have not yet provided the xml file.
