RecoverPoint Gen5 couldn't transper data.
Hello. EMC
Our site is now using Recover Point gen5 and control 6 consistency group.
Our network is separated two network. One is satellite(8Mbps) the other is MPLS(3Mbps).
We connect the RP1 to RP1(DR center) using satellite line and RP2 to RP2(DR center) using MPLS line.
(We make RP1 and RP2 cluster and async mode)
1 years ago, we was using Recover Point Gen4 and it quite slow transfer but it works.
Now. we upgrade gen4 to gen5 and also upgrade storage to unity(Both site).
Then we got a problem.
A small consistency group(replicant set is only 4 LUN and it just about 300GB) is successfully working but huge group couldn't work.
it always display the some error about TCP connection failed.
We re-sizing satellite line to 10Mbps, then it works but only transfer 1 group.
When we transfer more then 2 group, it also display the error and not working.
So, I want some solution about how to work properly this situation and have some questions.
Q1. Is there any option about minimum bandwidth limitation?
10Mbps line is work(only 1 group) but 6Mbps not work(except small size group).
Q2. Is a LUN size or count is important?
For example about our site.(based on 6Mbps line)
1) 4 LUN each LUN size is 70GB : it works
2) 3 LUN and LUN size is 100, 300 and 600GB : it works
3) over 200LUN and each LUN size is 50GB : not works
(Actually low size group has a small I/O but Large size group has a lot of I/O).
Unfortunately, We discuss a lot of time with our network team, but they always say network is fine :<
(Actually, we couldn't say anything because some group(small size) is successfully worked)
My english skill is quite terrible but I hope you understand my problem.
Best regards.

Hi @NewClear
I prefer to open a service request with the RecoverPoint support team, in order to investigate the RecoverPoint logs for WAN utilization.
The maximum supported round trip time for asynchronous replication is 200 ms
with up to 1% packet loss as per this guide RecoverPoint-5.1-Advanced-Performance-Guide
Hope that helps,
