RecoverPoint for VMs 5.0
Hello,
I have a question regarding RecoverPoint for VMs 5.0. In the documentation, it does not reference distributed consistency groups.
However the new version of 5.0 says there is support up to 8 vRPA per cluster. My questions is, if we have monster VM in a CG and are replicating and it requires more throughput resources than a single vRPA can provide, is the workload balanced across the additional vRPA's in the 8 vRPA cluster to provide resources for the replication?
Thanks,
Kandy

I don't believe RP4VMs supports dCGs today and only allows for a primary vrpa according to the documentation in the Admin Guide.

That is correct, DCGs aren't supported in RP4VMs, therefore a CG can run on a single vRPA, that's normally not an issue because of the high throughput and IOPS spec of the larger vRPA profiles (more details can be found in the RP4VMs performance and scale guide).
Also, group sets can be used to achieve consistent bookmarks across multiple CGs which can be replicated by different vRPAs.
Hope that helps,
