recoverpoint appliance CG group deletion
Hi all,
i have the following scenario:
I need to replicate a source volume in main site to a target volume in DR site through RPA appliances.
i have created the CG and added the source and image and initiated the replication.
after the replication is active, now i need to use the DR volume and mount it as an independent volume, how to do this?
can i delete the CG and keep both volumes? so i can mount main volume to a host in main site and the DR volume to a DR host?
thanks

thanks Rohang for the info,
if have already paused the replication and mounted the target volume to a DR host and wrote data to that volume and now i need both volumes to be independently mounted to their host, source volume to main host and DR volume to DR host,
is it enough to delete the CG or doing so will make the target volume inaccessible to DR host?
regards

You can enable image access for the time you need to access the remote replica volume, so you can mount the DR volume to a DR host.[you can select the latest image in the journal or any other image that has been distributed]
You'll be allowed to write as much as the journal can allow (20% of the journal volume space). The writes will be undone once image access is disabled.
regards.

You should be able to mount the DR volume to the DR host (and make changes to it) if you've enabled image access after selecting any of the available images from the journal. While in image access mode, replication will still continue, but the images will be accumulated in the Journal and will not be distributed to the DR volumes.
You shouldn't be deleting the CG.
