RecoverPoint 4.X Break the cluster and remap to another cluster
Hi
I have a situation that, I have a RecoverPoint 4.X physical cluster which is having 4 nodes on Site A and 4 nodes on Site B. It is actively using. Currently I have a new RecoverPoint Cluster having 4 nodes on Site C and having 4 nodes on Site D.
My requirement is 1:- Remove 2 nodes from Site A and Remove 2 nodes from Site C and establish a replication between Site A and Site C.
2:- Remove 2 nodes from Site B and Remove 2 nodes from Site D and establish a replication between Site B and Site D.
3:- Once the Data is moved from Site A to Site C and Site B to Site D, break the link between Site A and Site B and the replication between Site C and Site D should be active.
I am looking the process/procedure, how to do with out taking any down time? Thank you in advance for your time and support.

RPA nodes cannot be removed from a cluster. It has to be reinstalled with the correct number.

Thank you for the reply. How complex is the re-install and what are the pre-requisites/measures i have to follow in order to achieve my goal(as mentioned initially)?

Is there any reason why you didn't add the RP clusters in site C & D to the RP system for sites A & B rather than forming a separate system? Licensing maybe??

Hi
Basically Site A and Site B are old environment, they are replacing Site A and Site B with Site C and Site D. So trying to move the data from Site A to Site C and Site B to Site D.

So it's not possible to connect the new clusters at sites C & D to the existing system at sites A & B?
