Recoverpoint 4.1SP2 Syslog working?
Have two different recoverpoint cluster of which entier of them seem to send syslog messages as expected. I've tried configuring different syslog servers and same result, nothing gets sent. I've tried leveraging test_syslogs but nothing. Anyone else see issues with recoverpoint and syslogs?

Hi There,
There are no known issues with syslog in 4.1.2 as all outstanding issues had been fixed in 4.1.1.
Have you verified that tcp and udp port 514 is open between the RPA Management ports to the syslog servers ?
If so, I would suggest that a case will be open with support to further investigate why the messages aren't being sent to specific syslog servers.
Hope that helps,

I have 3 clusters with different versions on it.
4.1.1.1 - syslog not working and EE says it seems like a bug
4.1.2.1 - syslog working without any issue
4.1.2.3 - syslog working without any issue
Support didn't found anything to confirm if it is bug but they assumed it and recommended to upgrade the code to 4.1.2.1

Hi there,
There are no open issues with Syslog in RP 4.1.2.x. RP 4.1.2.3 is the target version so I would recommend upgrading to it regardless to Syslog. if in your case, these 3 clusters are running on the same system, I'd definitely upgrade them all to 4.1.2.3, to be on the most recommended version but also to have the same version on all clusters in the system.

Yes, we have a plan to upgrade them all to 4.1.2.3
