Recover production while in init state
hi,
i have a RP4VM environment, the replication got stuck a few days ago and i had to restart the vRPA's in order to sync again.
while the re-sync was running ( init(x%) state ) i noticed that I can't recover production at that state. ( the recover production button is grayed out)
is it by design ? i assume that i should be able to recover production from the local journal it that case ?
the init process can take days to complete and i would like to have even basic protection while it's running.

Did you disable and re-enable the copy or the CG?

no. the copy was stuck at the ready state. when i've restarted the vRPA's in went into init state.
it had about 3TB of data to re-sync so it was in the init stare for almost two days.
during those two days i wanted to be able to recover my production ( i did some kind of a software upgrade on the protected virtual machine) but the recover production button was grayed out.
does RP4VM writes to the local journal when the replication is in init state?

Did you reboot the vRPA simultaneously or at least before the VMs could migrate between the vRPAs?
