procedure to re-image existing rpa in cluster?

need to re-image an existing RPA in cluster.   I've used DM to replace RPA's, but not sure how to re-image them and maintain settings?  Do i detach from cluster, re-image, then re-attach back to cluster?

I am having to go through this same procedure.  This is what I got back from the Dell SE.

  • When it finishes loading and rebooting (essentially a factory reset), connect via USB keyboard and monitor to it and specify a temporary IP, netmask, and gateway, so that it can communicate on the network--these should be the same as the current network settings for the RPAs.

  • Retrieve the previous settings via boxmgmt, which might mean retrieving them from the DR cluster via boxmgmt, under Setup > Get Remote Settings.

  • Apply Settings via boxmgmt, at Setup > Apply Settings.

  • Select repository volume (in this instance both RPAs will only select, not format), at Setup > Configure Repository Volume > Select An Existing Repository Volume.

  • Attach to cluster and automatically reboot, at Attach RPA To Cluster.

  • Once the first RPA comes back up online and it can be confirmed that it is actively replicating consistency groups, then repeat the same operation with the second RPA.
