one vcenter?
Hello...
To deploy recover point for mv is it mandatory to have 2 vcenters? .... Or is it possible to replicate in the same cluster?
And it posible to replicate to one remote esxi standalone?...
Than´ks....

Hi there,
It isn't mandatory to have 2 vCenters to deploy RP4VMs. RP4VMs can be deployed in 1 vCenter, either 1 RP4VMs cluster replicating locally (to itself), multiple clusters for remote replication (replication topology is set on a consistency group level so bi-directional (and one to many) replication is fully supported or multiple clusters in multiple systems (a collection of clusters).
As for your final question, yes, one can replicate to a remote ESXi node. That would not be recommended from a HA and performance standpoints though.
Also note that if leveraging remote replication, multiple vCenters are advised.
Hope that helps,

Hi.....
Thank´s for reply...
I understand that it is not the best option that I propose, but if it is possible to have in a remote location of a server esxi without vcenter, the costs for the client are lower, not having to buy another vsphere essential package

True but it has drawbacks as to management HA, take into consideration that every ESXi that RP4VMs needs to leverage has to be managed by a vCenter.
