New VNX + Recoverpoint Add

have a new VNX built with recoverpoint splitter enabled on the box.  Looking to add the new VNX to recoverpoint, seem to be missing a step, while I'm able to define it as "storage" i'm not seeing the "add" button light up, its greyed out under the splitters tab in recoverpoint.

Sorry, we have classic licensing, appears I can add up to 8 VNX's

Hi there,

We need more information. Is this RPSE or RPEX env? Are the RPAs zoned to the VNX and registered as RecoverPoint Appliances w/ Failover mode 4? If yes to the above, try rescan_san from the admin CLI.

Thx,

If it’s RPSE, it can only see 1 VNX - you need to convert to RPEX if you’re trying to present (or convert) to a new VNX array.

Thanks for the feedback, we are a recoverpoint RPSE shop, RPA's are currently defined on the new VNX and zoned along with being configured as Recoverpoint Appliances with mode 4.  Will try the rescan_san

That did not seem to fix the issue, is there a way to manually define the splitter?

Notice how I dont have the "add" button available?  I've defined the storage side:

Odd i'm not seeing "splitter" status in the above image

I did add two volumes that I'm planning on using for a CDP copy coming from the VMAX.  I can remove MV, that non-disruptive?

Can you disable MV and then retry. Have you added any volume into the RP SG?

Yes as it's a per SP NDU activity.

You've created the RP SG and added the RPA initiators to it? Also, can you make sure MV is not enabled on the array.

It's up to four CLARiiON arrays or six VNX arrays per RP cluster.

Thanks for clarifying the maximums.  If you mean mirrorview by MV then yes its enabled. I've also created the Storage group and have added the three appliances and all their initiators registered.  Obviously missing some step??
