Logged image access on the windows 2008 R2 server.

Environment details:

Running RPA with Version: 3.5.SP2(p.74)

Mission critical data is getting replicated between Prod and DR sites.

Requirement:

We are in need to provide logged image access on the DR windows 2008 R2 server. The procedures from the RPA front is known factor here. All I wanted to know is what sequence of steps does EMC recommend to be done on the OS level to bring the target devices up. And also if image access for a particular CG has to be provided again multiple times from different time stamps, does a server reboot is needed ? or just rescan of disk management is enough ?

Hi Harry,

After initiating logged image access, rescan the disks and onlline them. If you decide to move to another PiT, firstly offline the disks, rescan and then online them.

Regards,

Rich
