How to calculate/estimate replication license usage ?

One way I thought made sense - was to get a comprehensive list of all replication sets within each consistency group, and just add up the their total size. 

Let us say, for example - there is a consistency group Replicating one volume(4TB) From DC-A to DC-B. Does this imply that 4TB of License is consumed at DC-A and 4TB of License is consumed at DC-B ? 

Similarly, let us say there is a third data center "DC-C", and the same 4TB volume is being replicated from DC-A to DC-C and DC-A to DC-B, does it mean 8TB of license is consumed at DC-A, and 4TB of license is consumed at DC-B and DC-C ?

I am in the process of creating script that can fetch total available licenses for each of the clusters in the five site topology we currently have, and some how report on the current license utilization. Obtaining the current license info, was possible by making a call to "/licenses/report/". However it does not report on the current utilization.Any idea on how this can be achieved ?
