How Recoverpoint replication works?
Hello All,
Can anyone let us know how recoverpoint replication works? Specifically we are looking for details when a WAN link is broken.
Thanks!!!

Hi,
This is covered in the RP Admin Guide but if the WAN fails the RPAs will write metadata relating the the host writes into the Prod copy journal of the CGs. This is referred to as marking mode. Once the WAN is deemed to be back as deemed by the RP control process via heartbeat checks, the metadata is read by the RPAs followed by a read of the data from the array and then ultimately replicated.
