Double rpa fault in the same cluster

Hi,

what happen at CGs if (in a cluster of four node) two nodes fail simultaneously?

The CGs on those RPA fail or move on thesurvive RPA?

Thanks and sorry for my english

Hello,

Thank you for contacting EMC.

Out of 4 nodes RPA cluster, having a problem at node3 and node4 would not cause any impact to replication. Since RPA cluster can hold up to 128 CG ownership, node3 and node4 would not be participated or eligible for site control. Either node1 or node2 should hold the site control, while having impact to any one of this node should transfer the site control to other node including the CG ownership. In case of any events to both node1 and node2 should pause the replication between sites (even though node3 and node4 are up) and changes would be in “Marked by host” mode.

Hello,

thanks for the answer...so in my example the cluster service fail and all the CGs go in marking mode (also the CGs on node3 and node4) until either node1 or node2 will be up, is it correct?
