Cannot open Recoverpoint 3.5SP2
I am attempting to connect to the Recoverpoint Management piece using Java 6 Update 25, abd it doesn't pull up anything. I have tried other machines, browsers, different versions of Java. I haven't needed to pull things up on Recoverpoint in a long time so I don't know how long it has been broken. I can ssh to the applicances. I don't know if some update on the client machines is incompatible with 3.5 SP2 code. I wouldn't mind doing a code upgrade the Deployment Manager Tool has a bug that won't let me upgrade to 4.X, "The wizard can only be used to perform a RecoverPoint/SE software upgrade". I think an upgrade is the best long term solution, which I hope would allow me to run more current versions of Java. I would like the GUI to work before upgrading just to see that things are ok. Any idea of how to get it work again?

Are you using 32bit version of java 6? You can use java 7 with 3.5 SP2 (java 7 is also a requirement for DM) but you will need a workaround script and procedure. Do you want this?

I'm using the 32 bit version of Java. I have tried multiple machines with Java 6 and Java 7.

I found out from EMC, the version I have isn't customer upgradeable
. I don't understand the reasoning, but I'm not going there. But I looked the parameters and I changed to use the java 7 home and it appears to 3.5 SP2 work.

Correct, from 4.0 SP1.
