Can an Exalytics Box replicate to an EMC frame using RP/EX
Hi there,
Our Oracle team wants to buy an Exalytics. Currently their storage is on our VNX and running smoothly, including some luns being replicated using our new Recover Point solution. One question my manager wanted me to find out is can Exalytics replicate to an EMC array? I would not think so, but I need an EMC santioned answer.
Thanks in advance!

you are correct, for RP to function it needs a splitter. The splitter is in our vmax/vplex/vnx arrays today. If it were running VMware with VMs we could use RP 4 VMs, but it doesn't look like it is

Only if it sits under VPLEX and therefore uses the VPLEX splitter. If it's not in the VPLEX Support Matrix and I doubt it is, you could submit an RPQ to the VPLEX team.

You can also use RP4VMs if VMware datastores are being used.
