Would like to upgrade Dell PowerEdge R740XD to a PERC H750 Raid Controller

Can you tell me from below link which figure represent your configuration.

This is the set up for a 24 way system but the cable is for backplane to H750 Raid controller which has a dual sas connectors for the backplane and then just one long connector that clips to the card.

Thanks for the response but that is not correct, I have that part number and the bracket shape, 2 x L shaped connectors to the backplane will not physically fit and the cable is too short. That part number does work with the R740 but not the R740XD.

The red square is where the BP ports are and they are positioned like so that using the cable suggested XJHM0 will only allow one L shaped port to be connected as that covers the second port.

This is the cable XJHM0 and the connectors fit horizontally and not vertically so one port fitted removes any access to the second port.

Hey Marco, I ran across this post doing research on cable needed for my perc 750.  We have a dell 740 with hba 330.  the cable connecting to it is a dual cable going into the card labelled A and B.  The perc 750 we have is only a single plug.  Will the Part XJHM0 replace that dual cable to connect to the storage backplane for the Perc 750?

I should have added that we are replacing the 330 with the 750

Before we could advise about the cable needed, we need more information about the PERC H750. Could you provide us the DPN# of both of the cards, HBA330 and H750. Based on the cable routing page provided by Shine: https://dell.to/3yQ1SCA is Figure 19 best described what you have on HBA330 and cable? 

Thanks for the quick reply and I'll try to provide as much info as I can since I can't get into the server.  I am providing a few pics, some showing the perc 750 card and some showing the HBA as well as the some screenshots from the dell server manager. HBA FrontPerc 750 FrontPerc 750 DPNFrom dell server manager

Also, the drive array I think is 18 slot 2.5.  The service tag on the server is [personal information removed by moderator] ...hopefully that helps.  I just want to make sure we have the right cable when we swap these out.  I purchased this through the dell outlet and forgot that HBA didn't support RAID ...thanks again for the help in advance!  BTW, the Perc was purchased through dell and we had a support engineer give us the part number needed, I just need the cable as the one going to the HBA has 2 connectors to the card itself and the Perc only has 1

The part number we have, #W5XVV, is a Spare Part number we use in service repair parts. They are not typically available on the web site.

You can contact the Spare Parts department 800-357-3355, or contact Sales directly and ask for the spare part department and they will be able to quote you on the cable.

I'm trying to do the same conversion with a 24 drive split backplane on a PE740xd to 2 PERC H740 card.  From the description of #W5XVV part number it looks to be a cable for a 16x2 backplane.  Will the same part work on a 24 drive split backplane.
