Upgrade Path for my PowerEdge R730 Bios

The specs of my server are below.  My goal is to upgrade to the highest version of ESXi that I can which I believe to be 7.0 U3.
To do that I believe I need to upgrade my bios first.  So, the latest bios that I have found is 2.17.0 and I need to know if I can upgrade straight there from 2.9.1 or if I need to do it in steps.
A second question relates to upgrading my ESXi to 7.0 U3.  Do I need to step up through version there?  Thank you for any help.

Hi, you can directly update both bios and esx version, I don't see any contraindications.
Thank you
