Return Dell branding in OEMR XL R220
Hello,
I trying to return Dell branding to OEMR XL R220 chassis by applying https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-ed/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=k1knf&oscode=naa&productcode=oth-xlr220 . But it fails with something like "update not compatible with your system" or "Unable to complete the firmware update operation because the specified firmware image is for a component that is not in the target system inventory." in idrac webui. No matter what method i use to install DUP: upload through idrac or execute binary in red hat OS.
Recently i successfully done same with R640 chassis. But this one isn't work same way.
Do i miss something? Could you please help?

Vills,
Would you confirm if this was previously an OEMR R220 that you flashed over to an R220, and now you are trying to return it back?
If that is the case then in my experience you can't revert back to the OEMR version. Now you can try by using the R220-011003.exe version of the download and then run from a command prompr with the /forcetype extension, but I am not confident it will work.
Let me know if this helps.

I not sure, but i think this isn't my case. The chassis now currently in "unbranded mode" and i would like to return Dell's branding to it. All other firmwares installation for this OEMR R220 can be installed successfully, except that Dell's branding thing.

Thank you.
As I was saying you can try with the process I stated before, but doing so isn't going to be supported, and I'm not confident it will work.
