We normally don't support OS / software issues, so if it turns out to look that way we may be limited on support. What I would start with in my opinion is to ensure there isn't anything in the hardware log or LCD displaying any errors, after that I would also make sure the server is up to date on BIOS, iDrac, raid controller and drives. Lastly, I would verify the configuration of ESXi to see if the drive is being allocated out to maximize how much the drive is utilized. Beyond that I would need far more details from you regarding the issue.
